Joined the Mets in July of 2013 and is responsible for the club’s business operations division which includes the marketing, communications, entertainment productions, creative services, ticket sales and services, ticket operations, premium seating, ballpark operations, guest services, venue services, security, Metropolitan Hospitality, corporate partnership sales & strategy, and business intelligence & analytics functions.

Prior to joining the Mets, was the Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2008-13.

Previous roles include: Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer for the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Thrashers and Philips Arena, Vice President of Team Marketing and Business Development in the NBA’s Team Marketing and Business Operations (TMBO) department at the NBA League Office and Vice President of Sales for the Florida Marlins.

DePaoli has established a reputation in the industry as an innovative leader and early adopter of business analytics, as well as for recruiting, training, and developing talent. At each of his stops in his career he has assembled a top-notch team of top sales and marketing talent to generate revenue, which has been driven by the information and analysis provided by the team’s business analytics department. This combination has resulted in a data-driven culture that has been driving results through an emphasis on development, business intelligence, and execution.

Lou is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he earned his BA in Management of Professional Sports Organizations.
