Senior Writer, ESPN
ABOUT

Zach Lowe is a senior writer for ESPN.com covering the ins-and-outs of the NBA — the transactions, Xs-and-Os, and personal stories. He hosts a regular podcast, The Lowe Post, and appears regularly on both The Jump and NBA Countdown.

Lowe started covering the NBA full-time in 2010 for Sports Illustrated, and ESPN hired him in 2012 to be the day-to-day NBA writer at the long-form site Grantland.

Lowe has been a journalist since 2004, when he began covering the crime and courts beat for the Stamford Advocate newspaper in Stamford, Conn. He covered the legal industry for American Lawyer before transitioning into sportswriting.

Lowe has a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College, and an M.A. in U.S. History from the College of William & Mary. He was studying for his Ph.D. before shifting into journalism, and earning an M.S. in the field from Columbia. He lives in New York City with his beautiful wife and young daughter.
