More Effective Use of The Power Play in Mixed Doubles Curling

Mixed Doubles features unique rules to the game of curling. One such rule allows teams to invoke a power play once a game to increase their chance of scoring. Little analysis has been done on whether teams are making good decisions on when to use this. This presentation will share results of a detailed investigation that indicates that the power play should be used in high-leverage situations earlier in the game to improve a team's chances of winning.
