Senior First Team Analyst, Everton FC Steve began his pursuit for a career in Sports Science and Performance Analysis with a 1st Class degree in BSc Sports Coaching followed by a Distinction in MSc in Performance Analysis at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC). Following graduation, he began work in soccer analysis for Cardiff City FC, and then gained Premier League experience with Birmingham City FC and Reading FC. At each of these 3 clubs Steve was required to introduce and implement an analysis structure to support both the 1st team and Academy; environments in which Analysis was a new concept and relatviely unknown. Steve joined Everton FC as Senior First Team Analyst in 2008 where he works closely with the First Team Manager, David Moyes and his coaching team. His main responsibilities include preparation and scouting of the upcoming opposition, whilst overseeing the provision of post match analysis and feedback. Steve is the lead analyst on match days, working to enhance the data and video provision for the coaching staff during the half-time period. This biggest highlight to date was his close invovlement in Everton's progress to the 2009 FA Cup Final.
