Former Professional Tennis Player Todd Martin played tennis for two years at Northwestern where he was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and was awarded first-team All-America honors. After leaving Northwestern in 1990 to turn pro, Martin jumped as high as No. 4 in the ATP Tour rankings, playing on a championship-winning U. S. Davis Cup team (1995), and reaching the finals of both the Australian Open and U. S. Open tournaments. Overall, he won eight singles and five doubles titles, and represented the U. S. at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He announced his retirement at the 2004 U. S. Open.
