Forrest Griffin won the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. In 2008 he became UFC light heavyweight champion. Shortly after his retirement in 2013, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Griffin was appointed to the taskforce to build what later became the Performance Institute. Once the Performance Institute opened Griffin was tasked with overseeing the delivery of athlete services.
