Paul Carr is a Senior Research at ESPN Analytics and leads the Stats & Info team of 20+ in generating content ideas and accurate, compelling statistics for soccer coverage across all ESPN platforms, including TV and ESPN. com, to best tell the best sports stories. He is also a contributing writer for ESPN Insider, ESPNFC and Five Aside; using advanced stats and ESPN's Soccer Power Index to forecast leagues and tournaments. Paul is an integral part of ESPN's live soccer coverage, supporting studio and match broadcasts from the set and the control room for major tournaments, U. S. and MLS games. He also led 2014 World Cup research team by overseeing a 20-person team that served match and studio broadcasts with game notes and live in-game stats and context. Prior to joining ESPN, Paul was a sportscaster, reporter, and producer at several leading television and radio stations in Topeka, Kansas. Paul attended Wheaton College, where graduated with a degree in Communications and Media Studies, and currently resides in Connecticut.
