Speaker Profile

Devin Pleuler is the Senior Director of Research and Development at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, where he leads the Sport Performance Lab —an applied research group integrating analytics, biomechanics, and technology across MLSE’s teams. He also teaches a graduate course on Artificial Intelligence in Sports Analytics at the University of Toronto.

From 2015 to 2022, Devin served as Director of Analytics for Toronto FC. He holds a Computer Science degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he played goalkeeper for their NCAA soccer program. He also holds various coaching licenses and was previously an Assistant Coach with the MIT Men’s soccer team.
