Dan Murphy is a staff writer on ESPN’s investigative and enterprise reporting team. He has covered the professionalization of college sports and NCAA legal issues for the better part of his 11 years with ESPN. His work has garnered several honors, including a Peabody Award, an IRE Sports Investigation of the Year Award and most recently he was named as a finalist for the APSE’s national beat writer of the year. He holds degrees from Notre Dame and Northwestern University. He currently lives in the Boston area.
