CJ LaBoy
CJ LaBoy joined Wasserman in 2018 and serves as the Senior Vice President of Football. LaBoy entered the player representation industry in 2004 and became an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor in 2005. CJ quickly built a reputation as one of the top young agents in the NFL, earning recognition from Sporting News and Yahoo! Sports as one of the fastest rising agents in the NFL business.
LaBoy is directly involved in all aspects of client representation, specializing in talent evaluation, player development, draft-prep strategies and contract negotiations. In addition to his work with several players selected in the top-100 of the NFL Draft and dozens of first round selections, LaBoy, alongside long-time colleague Doug Hendrickson, has been directly responsible for negotiating several top-of-market deals which recently includes making Maxx Crosby the highest paid defensive player and non-quarterback in NFL history and Trey McBride the highest paid tight end in NFL history when they signed their contracts. In addition to Maxx and Trey, CJ represents players such as Colton McKivitz, Alec Pierce, Quentin Jonhston, Rashee Rice, Jordan Morgan, Laiatu Latu, Taylor Rapp, Elijah Molden, Shaq Thompson, and Deshon Elliott.
While earning a degree in business, LaBoy played football at former Div 1AA St. Mary’s College and received All-Conference and All-American Honors. LaBoy also received his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor as part of their renowned Sport Management Master’s Program. LaBoy resides in San Rafael, CA with his wife, Melissa, and their three children.
