Executive Vice President of AECOM
Bill is an Executive Vice President and the Global Sports Leader at AECOM - the international design, infrastructure and construction services firm committed to building a better world. Trained as an architect, His work focuses on large scale regeneration projects, major sports events masterplanning, and sports venue design.
Bill works closely with civic leaders, team owners, and key stakeholders to leverage the capital investment required to host major sports events and deliver new sports venues to ensure that they create positive economic benefit and physical improvement to surrounding communities. He currently leads the AECOM team for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Plan. Previously, he delivered the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games and Legacy masterplans as well as the London 2012 Games and Legacy masterplans. He also served as an advisor to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on the Tokyo 2020 Games Plan.
In addition to working on LA28, he delivered the Intuit Dome, the new home of the LA Clippers which opened in August 2024. The project was a 10-year commitment working closely with Steve Ballmer and has achieved critical acclaim and received multiple design awards. The Intuit Dome has been awarded LEED Platinum status and will be net zero carbon from its inception.
He has a Masters of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. He recently completed a term on the MIT Visting Committee on Architecture.
