VP, Stats & Information ESPN
After 25 years in the newspaper business as a reporter, page designer and senior newsroom editor, Noel joined ESPN to help create the Stats & Analysis Team in 2006. He currently oversees and helps lead the Stats & Information Group - a staff of more than 200+ part- and full-time employees around the globe who generate unique and differentiating content across all media platforms, including TV (studio and event production), Digital (mobile/tablet, websites, Fantasy, Gaming), Audio and Print. Our primary areas of focus within SIG include the BottomLine, Content Research, Stats & Analysis (supplying all clock, score and statistical content to every ESPN platform) and Sports Analytics, which has created industry-changing metrics such as Total Quarterback Rating and the Football Power Index. SIG also actively collaborates with a variety of partners across the company, including Product Development, Technology, Sales & Marketing, international businesses, and many more.
