Jesse Marsch

About

Jesse Marsch most recently coached Leeds United in the English Premier League. He has also coached professional teams in the German Bundesliga, Austrian Bundesliga, and in Major League Soccer with both the New York Red Bulls and Montreal Impact. He is the first American to coach in UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. He is also the first American coach to win a trophy in Europe, winning the Austrian Bundesliga twice as well as the Austrian Cup twice.

In addition, Jesse played 14 years as a professional soccer player in MLS with DC United, Chicago Fire, and Chivas USA winning multiple titles and trophies, including the only player to win the first 3 MLS Cups.

He also attended Princeton University, graduating in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in American History.
