Dave Joerger

Professional Basketball Coach

About

Dave Joerger is a professional basketball coach who most recently served as the head coach of the Sacramento Kings, beginning the 2016-17 season until 2018-19. In his final season with Sacramento, Joerger led the Kings to 39 wins which were the most for the franchise since 2005-06. During the 2018-19 season, Sacramento would score a franchise record 114.2 points per game as well as make a franchise record 11.3 three-pointers per game with Joerger at the helm.

Joerger achieved his 100th career head coaching win on March 23, 2014 and was the fastest among active NBA coaches (153 games coached) to reach 100 career victories as of the start of the 2015-16 season (and is now only behind Golden State’s Steve Kerr).

Off of the court, Joerger also maintains a focus on community development and opportunity. Established in 2014, The Dave Joerger Foundation is active in many communities, neighborhoods, cities and states throughout the United States. The Dave Joerger Foundation is committed to providing opportunities for youth to experience the leadership and through experiences they would not normally have and supporting various community initiatives.

Joerger is father of two daughters, Alli and Kiana.
