Alex Fast is the Sports Emmy award-winning Vice President of PitcherList - a website dedicated to the study and advancement of baseball analytics. He also creates data-driven pitching graphics for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball broadcast. Alex is a frequent guest on MLB Network and MASN where he provides insight on the Baltimore Orioles pitching staff. He previously worked at Major League Baseball for five years where he was an associate producer in their Gaming and VR department. The co-creator of the award-winning CSW metric, Alex has been working in the baseball space for the past decade. Alex co-hosts On The Corner, a weekly podcast dedicated to breaking down the top 100 pitchers in baseball that was named 2022’s best baseball podcast by the FSWA

Alex is proud to have worked with Driveline Baseball for his most recent study in which he determined ways to quantify the amount of finger pressure a pitcher is applying to a baseball upon its release. In determining that, pitchers, coaches and front offices are now afforded the opportunity to new data points that could provide them with a competitive advantage.

When Alex isn’t buried deep in Baseball Savant you can find him either playing video games or pickeball in Los Angeles where he resides with his wife, daughter and dog Tokyo.
