Mike Lynch is the Executive Director of Data at Sports Reference LLC, leading the data department responsible for the wealth of information appearing on the company’s nine websites. Lynch and his team are dedicated to enhancing the availability of sports data for public consumption and aiding in democratizing data, a core tenet of Sports Reference. Before spending the last 12 years with Sports Reference, Lynch previously worked in research roles with ESPN, Big Ten Network, and Comcast SportsNet. In his free time, Lynch enjoys coaching youth basketball, watching basketball and reading about basketball. Perhaps he’s not well-rounded, but a basketball is. A Boston University graduate, Lynch lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two children.
