Dr. Chris Groer is a co-founder and Chief Product Officer of sports logistics startup Fastbreak AI. He has been involved in all aspects of sports scheduling as a player, coach, and now an optimization expert developing technology to help leagues of all sizes maximize the value of their game schedules. Before earning his PhD at Maryland in applied math, he was an All American tennis player at Vanderbilt who played professional tennis for four years. His career is focused on developing intuitive systems to solve scheduling and routing problems in a variety of areas including school bus routing, supercomputer workloads, large scale field service, and now sports league schedules. His company Fastbreak AI is focused on solving a variety of logistical problems in the world of sports and currently provides game scheduling software for over 35 of the world's largest leagues.
