Jonathan Beane

About

Jonathan Beane began his role as the NFL’s Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer in 2020. Beane spearheads the league’s overarching diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and implementation. He also works closely with senior leadership to drive actionable change throughout the league and all 32 clubs.

Over the course of his career, Beane has led companies to foster more inclusive cultures and has established himself as a successful diversity strategist. Prior to joining the NFL, Beane served as the Senior Vice President of Global Diversity and Inclusion for 21st Century Fox where he worked with leaders across the company to effectively plan and execute various global diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Beane has also held leadership positions in strategic planning, corporate responsibility and diversity and inclusion at Johnson Controls, Time Warner and Novartis respectively.

Beane holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University, as well as a Juris Doctor and MBA degree from the University at Buffalo - SUNY. He earned his BA in American History from Dartmouth College. Beane served on the Board of Directors of GLAAD and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University at Buffalo School of Law and on the Board of Directors of CUNY’s Black Male Initiative.  He and his wife, Jodie, live in White Plains, NY with their two children.
