Research Fellow, ADSC Jagan Varadarajan is a Research Fellow at ADSC. He obtained his PhD from Swiss Federale Institute of Technology, (EPFL, Lausanne), and Idiap Research Institute, Switzerland in August 2012. He earned his Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics and Computer Science from Sri Sathya Sai University, Prasanthi Nilayam, India. He also has worked as a Scientist at HP Labs, Bangalore from July 2005 to June 2007 and GE Global Research, Bangalore until June 2008 on several projects relating to document image analysis and information retrieval. His research interests are in Video Analysis, Data Mining, Graphical Models, Bayesian Inference, Machine Learning and Computer vision. Particularly, his current research is focused on higher level semantic understanding of videos. He has co-authored 10 top-tier conference and journal papers and 2 patents.
