Moving from Answering to Anticipating, A look at how women’s sports coverage is the new model

About This Event

It was a long held belief that women’s sports commanded 4% of all sports media coverage. Last year, Wasserman created a new model to evaluate sports media coverage that was reflective of the changing landscape that is content coverage. With this model, it was found that 15% of sports coverage in 2022 was dedicated to women’s sports. This session will review the steps taken to create the new model and the methodology needed to ensure this model can adapt year over year to accurately report on how sports coverage is shifting.
