In January 2020, MLB unveiled Infield Outs Above Average, a first look at to answering the question of how to analyze an infielder’s defensive prowess. This workshop takes you behind the scenes of Infield Outs Above Average. This session will show how to use SQL to aggregate and process data used for the generation of Infield Outs Above Average, Statcast’s most anticipated metric to date!
