Partner, Ropes & Gray David is a member of the Intellectual Property Transactions group at Ropes & Gray and advises a wide range of companies, investors, and institutions in all manner of transactions involving intellectual property and technology, including licensing, product development collaborations, strategic alliances and distribution arrangements, supply arrangements, outsourcing transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic commercial agreements. David has extensive experience advising companies in athletic consumer product industry respect to the creation and management of intellectual property, and day-to-day commercial and corporate matters. David also advises clients in connection with privacy and data security matters. David regularly represents athletic equipment, apparel, footwear and other athletic and fitness-related consumer product companies with respect to endorsement and sponsorship deals with sports leagues, teams, athletes and other celebrities, strategic product distribution agreements, technology development and licensing, and branding matters. David also regularly represents investors interested in acquiring or investing in sports- and fitness-related companies. David was part of the Ropes & Gray teams that represented Reebok in connection with the negotiation of its licensing and on-field branding relationship with the National Football League and representing Gillette in connection with the naming rights for Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
