Carla Espallardo is an MBA student at MIT Sloan and leads the Careers Track team for the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. This summer, she interned at Halcyon, supporting social impact startups by redefining their capital strategy, and prior to Sloan worked at Boston Consulting Group, focusing on digital transformation and portfolio strategy across large-scale international programs. She graduated from IE University with a degree in Politics, Law and Economics, where she received the Best Student Award and a full academic scholarship.

Originally from Granada, Carla grew up playing soccer on boys’ teams before competing at the regional and national level and spending time in the youth systems of FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol. She later helped lead teams in Granada and Madrid to promotion to 3rd and 2nd divisions in Spain’s women’s football system. At MIT, she captains the soccer team, while also organizing and leading women-only training sessions within the MBA community.
