Scott Kaufman-Ross
As Senior Vice President, Head of Fantasy & Gaming for the NBA, Scott oversees all initiatives related to the league’s strategy and commercial endeavors in the fantasy sports and sports betting industry. Scott led the NBA’s partnerships with companies such as FanDuel. MGM, Yahoo, FOXBET, William Hill, DraftKings and others in the US, as well as global partnerships with Dream11, FdJ, BetEasy and Highlight Games. He has also played an instrumental role in the NBA’s sports betting policy initiative and has testified at state legislative hearings across the country. In addition, Scott served as the NBA’s Board Observer to FanDuel for three years while the NBA held an equity investment in the company.
Before taking on his current role, Scott spent four years on the NBA’s Global Strategy Team evaluating the league’s strategic approach to new business areas such as daily fantasy sports, sports betting, esports, international league partnerships, and venture investing, and two years on the NBA’s International Finance Team. Prior to joining the NBA, Scott spent four years at Goldman Sachs in the Global Investment Research division covering retail companies.
