Sashi Brown is in his first year as Chief Planning and Operations Officer of the basketball properties at Monumental Sports & Entertainment, including the NBA’s Wizards, WNBA’s Mystics, G-League’s Go-Go and 2K League’s Wizards District Gaming. Brown is responsible for providing a platform to support team operations, athlete development, innovative and strategic initiatives, and pursuit of championships.

Brown is a seasoned executive with deep experience in both team and business operations. In 2016, Brown was promoted to Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the Cleveland Browns, where he was responsible for developing the organization’s short and long-term visions and strategies. Brown oversaw all team operations including, the scouting, roster strategy and salary cap functions. Brown was hired by Cleveland in 2013 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel and served the franchise in both football and business capacities. Within business operations, Brown led various strategic initiatives, oversaw government affairs, negotiated all revenue and sponsorship contracts, managed insurance and legal matters, and handled licensing and intellectual property issues. Brown also worked in the front office of the Jacksonville Jaguars, eventually serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. During his time with the Jaguars, Brown oversaw significant functions in both football and business operations.

Brown started his career as an attorney at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr in Washington, DC, where he represented clients in a variety of business transactions, including venture capital, private equity and M&A matters. Brown is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Hampton University. He and his wife Paige live in Bethesda, MD with their 3 children Zora, Ellison and Robeson.
