Devin Pleuler is entering his fourth season with Toronto FC of Major League Soccer, currently serving as their Senior Manager of Analytics. In 2017, Toronto FC completed the first domestic treble in league history, consisting of winning MLS Cup, the Supporters Shield, and the Canadian Championship.
Previously, Devin was a Data Scientist at Opta. His work at Opta primarily focused on providing bespoke pieces of analysis on player performance for professional clubs and FA’s across the world. Before joining Opta, Devin created the independent soccer analytics blog “Central Winger”, which later grew into a featured column on MLSsoccer.com.
Devin earned a B.S. in Computer Science at Wentworth Institute of Technology while warming the bench as a goalkeeper for the school’s NCAA men’s soccer program. Devin holds multiple North American coaching diplomas and licenses and served as an Assistant Coach for one season with the men’s soccer program at MIT.
