Founder, Quickish @danshanoff Dan Shanoff is the founder of Quickish, a sports-news service acquired by Gannett. Over a 20-year career in sports journalism, he has held a variety of roles: Content development at USA TODAY Sports, creator and writer of ESPN. com's popular "Daily Quickie" column, an editor at SI. com, ESPN. com's first full-time college basketball editor and, initially, the first employee of an early sports-news start-up founded on the original AOL platform. He is the founder of Varsity Letters Reading Series, the first monthly reading series dedicated to sportswriting, and the creator of TimTeblog. com, an experiment in "hyper-topical" journalism built around the most popular player in college sports history. He has an MBA from Harvard and a journalism degree from Northwestern, and he teaches sports entrepreneurship at Georgetown.
