Under the direction and supervision of the Director, Performance Analytics, the Senior Performance Data Analyst oversees the development of analysis and reporting tools to put performance insights into action. Manages a team responsible for the administration of the the USOPC’s custom Athlete Management System (Athlete 360), providing hands-on support to USOPC and NGB sports science, medicine, research, and performance providers. Utilizes integrated health and performance data sources to create impactful solutions for Team USA. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker and quick learner who values efficient, high-quality work and effectively communicates analytical insights with accuracy and clarity. We are looking for a detail-oriented, trusted problem solver and leader with a passion for the Olympic and Paralympic Movements and experience in applied sport science.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Sport Science, Biomechanics, Physiology, Kinesiology, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics or related field
• 5+ years of experience delivering sports analytics or applied sports science solutions in high-performance environments
• 2+ years of experience building and leading high-performing analytics teams • Detailed knowledge and development of Athlete Management Systems (AMS)
• Advanced knowledge of statistical languages (R, Python, SAS), data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI), database functionality (SQL, Snowflake) and other programming languages
