Position Description

Oracle Food & Beverage - Program Manager LOCATION: UNITED STATES (REMOTE) TRAVEL: UP TO 25% Oracle's Food & Beverage Consulting team is responsible for deploying Point of Sale & Back Office solutions at Restaurants, Hotels, Casinos, Cruise Ships, and Sports & Entertainment Venues worldwide. Our activities include but are not limited to: New payment system design & deployment on the Oracle Micros Simphony Platform. Upgrade of existing Point of Sale & Back office systems. Professional Services customization. Program & Project Management to assist customers with payment system transformation activities. We are looking for a customer driven team player who's comfortable with formal project management with a proven track record of success. In a Program leadership position, you must be capable of mentoring your team of project managers and technical resources to enable program delivery success using proven industry standard tools & techniques. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Work with senior management to identify and drive strategic initiatives, overseeing cross-functional teams, business partners and Development as needed Oversight of Internal and External customer facing programs and initiatives. Identify, track, and prioritize complex issues and work with teams across Oracle to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner Provide status updates to senior management as required, through the use of dashboards, reports, emails, remote or in-person meetings Oversee multiple related work-streams managed by Project Managers. Assisting with direction and reporting on overall status to program stakeholders. Maintain positive and efficient working relationships within the Food & Beverage Global Business unit and with other Oracle divisions and business units Respond to requests from senior management and determine the most appropriate ways to execute, communicate and/or manage initiatives and follow-up activity Oversee and/or manage others at both remote and on-site locations Travel up to 25% at times. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. "End to end" mastery of formal Project Management methodology. Proficient in Waterfall planning. Exposure or competency with Agile methodology desirable but not required. 10+ years of Project / Program Management experience. Familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills Advanced organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with proven success in delivering results in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, communicating with all levels of management and individual contributors Experience creating and maintaining program documentation, collateral, and communications Mastery creating and maintaining project documentation, collateral and communications. Able to create and execute a project using MS Project. PMP Certification desirable but not required. Mid-level implementation project professional who manages moderately complex relationships with client site during entire Implementation phase. Tracks and coordinates all moving pieces of the Implementation from start to end. 1st level of escalation for onsite installation team. Manages Implementation Service deliverables throughout installation project including milestones and project schedule. Develops and maintains consistent standards for project delivery. Reviews project proposals. Confers with implementation team, management or account management to locate the appropriate parties to provide technical advice. Creates and communicates status reporting for both internal and external purposes. Manages project closure and handoff to Account Manager and Help Desk. 5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years project management experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
