Stephen Pettigrew is a doctoral candidate in the Harvard University Department of Government. He writes about hockey analytics on his blog RinkStats, and has analyzed the NFL, NBA, college football and college basketball as a contributor to FiveThirtyEight, Deadspin, and the Wall Street Journal. His research has been published in the Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports and Electoral Studies. He has taught classes at Harvard about statistics and the American presidency, and his dissertation research focuses on solving problems with election administration in the United States.
