Director of Relationship Marketing, New York Jets
As Director of Relationship & Database Marketing for the Jets, he is responsible for creating, managing and reporting on multi-channel sales and retention campaigns, building in-depth consumer profiles, generating qualified sales leads and delivering targeted content. He built and oversees a cross-departmental CRM system that connects ticketing, sales, service, marketing and finance to provided details insights into the team’s corporate and consumer business efforts.
In addition to his work with the Jets, Russell is the founder and primary author for TheBusinessOfSports.com, an industry blog that covers news and best practices in sports business. He is an active member of the #SportsBiz community on Twitter and organizes sports business networking events throughout the year in multiple cities.
Prior to his role with the Jets, Russell worked as a CRM Analyst for Comcast-Spectacor supporting the CRM and digital marketing efforts of the Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms.
Russell earned his MBA in Sports Business and Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
