Panna Felsen

Phd Student, University of California Berkeley

Panna Felsen is a PhD student in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California Berkeley. She received a BS and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Her current research focus is on understanding and predicting player interactions in team sports directly from the pixels, i.e. broadcast videos of games. While she now studies computer vision, her first foray into the intersection of sports and science was as the ‘’human opponent’’ against electroactive polymer-actuated robotic arms in an armwrestling match in 2005.
