Omar Ajmeri currently leads Sports Research efforts at Twitter. His research focuses primarily on uncovering platform usage insights for fans, as well as analyzing advertising effectiveness for brands and TV networks. Omar has also pioneered the development of TV tune-in research at Twitter, which tracks the value of different forms of Twitter advertising in driving users to watch linear broadcast television.
Outside of his day job, Omar is the Co-Founder and CEO of an AI-based football film analysis startup, Slants, which generates insights that help coaches win games and improve efficiency in game-planning, scouting, and recruiting. The platform saves coaches tons of time throughout a busy season and also produces stats that aren’t available anywhere else. Slants is currently partnering with several NFL and NCAA teams.
Omar graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Business. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, playing chess, and watching Kobe Bryant motivational videos.
