Mike Attanasio is a first-semester sophomore in the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He has a keen interest in statistical analysis, particularly in the unique ways that analysis of baseball statistics can increase one’s knowledge of the game as well as ability to predict individual and team performance. Mike also has a lifelong passion for basketball and is a Varsity player at MIT, after having played the sport competitively as point guard since the age of six. When his father became Chairman and Principal Owner of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, he learned to understand and appreciate (but not play) baseball, too, from both fan and business perspectives.
Mike is from Los Angeles, where he grew up an avid Lakers fan. He hopes to become involved in basketball analytics in the future.
