For nearly eight years, Matt Dennewitz has overseen the site growth, performance, and stability of the influential music magazine Pitchfork (pitchfork.com). Matt is currently Pitchfork’s VP of Product, and was recently named Director of Engineering at Wired, another publication owned by Condé Nast. He is also an avid baseball fan who consults with MLB clubs. Matt has given talks covering content management architecture, archiving practices, the platform-ification of online journalism, information retrieval, and data governance strategies for the working artist. Matt also started Saber Archive (saberarchive.com), the largest archive of sabermetric research, and co-founded BeerGraphs (beergraphs.com), the first site to capture the analytics of beer and beer culture.
