Liz Boardman is a Senior Client Partner in the Global Sports Center of Expertise for Korn Ferry, where she leads executive searches, talent consulting, and organizational assessments for national and global sports leagues, teams, and brands. She is based in the Firm’s New York office.
Among her recent searches, Ms. Boardman led efforts to recruit Commissioners for three of the nation’s most prominent collegiate sports conferences; President of a major league team; Athletic Director for a premier Division I university; Chief Operating Officer for a top professional league; and Chief Marketing and Revenue Officers for several professional sports teams.
Ms. Boardman specializes in searches focused on diversity, with specific focus on the growth of women executives in sports. She also works regularly with colleges, universities, foundations and other nonprofits focused on education and community development.
Prior to joining the executive search industry, Ms. Boardman served as a business development and client relations director for the Advisory Board Company, a consulting firm focused on serving executives at the country’s leading higher education and health care institutions. Ms. Boardman began her career as a teaching fellow and coach with the Coalition of Essential Schools, funded by the Gates Foundation.
Ms. Boardman received her B.A. from Georgetown University and her M.A. in Leadership from Harvard University, where she was the recipient of the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Leadership in Education Award and Merit Scholarship. At Georgetown, Ms. Boardman was a member of the Varsity Women’s Field Hockey Team.
