Head Football Coach and Athletic Director, Pulaski Academy High School

-Married to Dana Kelley, who is an elementary teacher.  Have two children, Zack, age 16, and Kara, age 9.

-1987- Graduated Glenwood High School, Glenwood, Arkansas with a 4.21 GPA

-1992-Graduated Henderson State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Attended on a Presidents Scholarship and a business scholarship.   Majored in accounting first two years before switching to physical education with a minor in biology.

-1993-1997-coached and taught earth science in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD in Carrollton, TX

-1997-2002-offensive coordinator for Pulaski Academy High School in Little Rock, Arkansas

-2003-present-head football coach for Pulaski Academy High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, adding the athletic directors role in January of 2007.

Coaching Record and accomplishments:

-11 years as head coach.   125-23-1 record as a head coach.  (Multiple Coach of the Year Honors). During the 11 years,  PA made the quarterfinals of the state playoffs all 11 times, the semifinals 8 times, the championship game 5 times, and won 3 state championships, the latest being in 2011.  In the state championship years of 2008 and 2011 we punted a total of 1 time.

-PA has been in the top 10 in total offense for the last 8 years.

-Coached players or teams that have set 9 national high school football records averaging 532 ypg

-Will be presented the “Disruptive Innovation Award” at the Tribecca Film Festival in NYC in April, 2014

-Was recognized on ESPN.com in 2007 for the 4th down / no punt philosophy.

-Was featured in Sports Illustrated in 2009 for 4th down / no punt philosophy.

-Time Magazine recognized as the “No Punt Theory” as the 33 best invention of the year in 2009.

-Appeared live on ESPN’s First Take for the 4th down / no punt philosophy in 2009.

-Was featured on NFL Films for 4th down / no punt philosophy in 2008.

-Live interviews on Fox Business News Channel’s “Varney and Company”

2011 had a weekly radio show in Seattle

-HBO Real Sports did a segment on PA’s style of play at Pulaski Academy as did Grantland

-Have appeared on Fox Business News, National Geographic’s Brain Games, many national radio shows, and in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and many other national publications.
