Jenna Wiens is a doctoral candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She received a B. Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University in 2008 and an S.M. in Computer Science from MIT in 2010.
Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and medicine. Specifically she has developed novel approaches to automatically identify patients with ectopic heartbeats, and accurately risk stratify hospital patients for healthcare-associated infections. More generally, she enjoys tackling the research challenges that arise when mining large complex datasets.
