Speaker Profile

Gartheeban Ganeshapillai received M. Sc. degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, in 2011. He is currently working towards a Ph. D. in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, MIT. He has conducted research at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT, since 2009, working on projects related to discovering patterns and building predictive models in large datasets and develop tools to answer questions that affect people. In this context, he has worked on problems in medicine, systemic risk in financial systems, and sports.
