NBA analyst – Comcast SportsNet Boston; Former NBA Player

Former University of Connecticut and NBA veteran, Donny Marshall joined the Comcast SportsNet Boston Celtics telecast team for the 2005-06 season. Marshall will serve as the primary in-studio NBA analyst alongside Gary Tanguay. “DMarsh” will also join Mike Gorman on select road trips, and join Michael Holley for “Court Vision” on Celtics Now. Marshall’s previous TV experience includes color commentary on ESPN NCAA telecasts and appearances on Hartford area network affiliates.

Marshall’s six-year NBA career included seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Jersey Nets. Marshall was the 39th overall pick of Cleveland in the 1995 NBA Draft and played in 119 NBA games.

Marshall was a steady contributor for Coach Jim Calhoun and the Huskies from 1991-94. Marshall shot 47 percent in 121 career games, averaging 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Marshall is a graduate of Federal Way High School in Federal Way, Washington.
