Dan Rosenbaum

UNC Greensboro

Dan Rosenbaum is an assistant professor (with tenure) in economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Ph.D in economics from Northwestern University. Known for his work on plus/minus ratings and the luxury tax, Rosenbaum consults for the Cleveland Cavaliers and in the past advised the NBA Players Association. Rosenbaum had the good fortune of playing for two national champions (in baseball for La Porte High School in 1987 and in Division III football at the University of Dayton in 1989). But his real claim to fame is being shown in ESPN highlights being beaten for a clinching touchdown in the 1991 national championship game.
