Austin Basye

Data Scientist, Hudl

Currently a data scientist at Hudl, Dr. Austin Basye has focused on architecting efficient frameworks for leveraging player tracking and event data to help coaches and athletes win. His analysis interests focus on using these frameworks to study the dynamics of collective behavior that form the foundation of multi-agent competition. Prior to his work in industry, Dr. Basye completed his PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in experimental particle physics. During this time he collaborated with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider where he focused on muon detection infrastructure and the challenging signatures of associated Top Quark and Higgs Boson production.
