Alex Franks is a PhD candidate in the Department of Statistics at Harvard University where he works with Edoardo Airoldi on models involving genomics and proteomics data, statistics in networks, and the intersection of the two.  He is also a part of the XYHoops research group, run by Luke Bornn and Kirk Goldsberry.  Their research is primarily on spatio-temporal methods and applications for optical tracking data from professional basketball.
