Aaron W. Johnson

Aaron Johnson is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Aaron earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan in 2008 and a Master’s degree in aeronautics and astronautics from MIT in 2010. At MIT, Aaron’s current research focuses on dynamic task allocation between human operators and vehicle automation in complex aerospace systems. Aaron’s other interests include education and sharing the excitement of human spaceflight with a broad audience. Aaron and his co-authors’ investigation into momentum after big plays in the NFL, originally presented as a poster at SSAC 2012, has been featured in the 2012 Football Outsiders Almanac and on Wired.com.
