SSAC ’17 Day Two Recap

We are sad that SSAC ’17: Elevate the Game has come to a close, but what a memorable weekend! We enjoyed every nanosecond of the weekend, delving into all aspects of sports analytics, emerging technology and even a bit of politics. Thank you for joining us and your ongoing support.

RECORD STATS AND NEW FRONTIERS: This year’s conference did elevate the game, including more panels (39), Competitive Advantage Talks (39), and interactive events (7) than ever before. Between Accelerator Competitions, drone demonstrations and e-Sports beating the experts; science, technology and analytics are changing our perception of the games we love.

THANKS FOR FOLLOWING ALONG: Our social media engagement over the last two days broke conference records. We trended #1 nationally on Twitter during the Shark vs. Fox panel and battled for the #4 spot multiple times throughout the weekend. The conference generated over 10K Twitter posts featuring #SSAC17 and our Snapchat filter was viewed by over 22.8K accounts. Thank you for sharing all your questions, comments, insights and favorite moments!

LIVE ACTION: We went LIVE at the conference TWICE with Facebook Live Streams of our Silver Asks Silver panel, featuring Adam and Nate Silver and our Shark vs. Fox panel, featuring Mark Cuban and Nate Silver. Our live streams reached over 650K individuals.

MISSED A PANEL? We will be uploading panel videos to our YouTube channel in a few weeks.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WINNERS! True to the spirit of the theme, this year’s conference participants also elevated the game with their innovative and thought-provoking submissions and presentations.
