Below are some Frequently Asked Questions about ticketing and registration.

Q: I can no longer attend the conference, can I get a refund for my ticket?
A: As stated in the Terms and Conditions when you purchased your ticket, the last day for refunds was January 15th. There are no exceptions to this policy at this point.

Q: I would like to send someone in my place.
A: As stated in the Terms and Conditions when you purchased your ticket, tickets are nontransferable after February 3rd. There are no exceptions to this policy at this point.

Q: Are there any exceptions given the Coronavirus?
A: The safety of all participants is an absolute priority for the 2020 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference and our hosts at the BCEC. Our teams have been working together for nearly a year to ensure a safe event for all attendees. The World Health Organization’s recommendation is that travelers practice usual precautions. In accordance with recommendations from the Boston Public Health Commission, we are increasing our efforts to help prevent the spread of the virus. We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as necessary, but SSAC20 will be taking extra precautions to protect attendees. For all attendees outside of countries with a travel ban, we are adhering to the ticketing terms and conditions (see above regarding refunds and transfers). Please visit our website for additional information on safety resources.

Q: Can someone check in for me and pick up my badge / can I pick up a colleague’s badge?
A: No, we require all ticketholders to personally pick up their badges and show their government ID. Pre-registration will be available 4:30-8:30 PM on Thursday night inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC). Registration will be open all day on Friday and Saturday.

Q: Where can I find an attendee list? I would like to schedule meetings with attendees.
A: An attendee list will be distributed to you during registration. It will be located in your gift bag.

Q: What are the benefits of pre-registration?
A: Registration lines will be extremely long on Friday morning. Pre-registering allows you to avoid these lines. In addition, pre-registration allows you to receive full information on the conference and exhibitors (located in your gift bag) before the event, so you can effectively plan your visiting schedule.

Q: Where can I find a schedule for the conference?
A: The Conference agenda is located here.

Q: Can I still purchase a ticket to the conference? What about a waitlist?
A: Unfortunately, we have finalized our list of attendees and have already printed badges. We regret to inform you that we will not be selling any additional tickets or releasing any other tickets for the waitlist. Day of ticket sales are not available. This year’s conference will draw over 3,200 attendees and we sold out over a month ago. Therefore, we would recommend joining our mailing list and / or following us on Twitter and Facebook, as we will be announcing ticket sales for the 2021 Sloan Sports Analytics Conference
through these channels. This way, you’ll be able to purchase a ticket before we sell out.

Q: Can I purchase a one-day pass for the conference?
A: We do not offer one-day passes for the conference, and day-of ticket sales are not available.
